Android beta

Test LiftLogic on Android

LiftLogic is coming to Android, and the first builds are ready for testers. It is the same idea as the iPhone app: log a set in a couple of taps, see what you lifted last time, and watch the numbers move week over week. Free, no account, and everything stays on your phone.

We are looking for people who lift and want to help shape the Android version before it launches. Three steps and you are in.

How to join

Three steps to the beta

Use the same Google account for all three. Google Play checks that the account on your phone is in the group and has opted in.

01

Join the tester group

Join the LiftLogic testers Google Group with the Google account you use on your phone. This is how Google Play knows you are a tester.

Join the group

02

Become a tester

Open the Play testing page, signed in with that same account, and tap Become a tester. That unlocks the beta for you.

Opt in on Google Play

03

Install the app

Once you have opted in, the Play listing opens for you. Install LiftLogic, log your first set, and tell us what you think.

What to expect in the beta

It is an early build. Version 0.1.0 covers workouts, the exercise library, stats, nutrition, the journal, notifications, widgets and Health Connect. Things will change between updates and some things will break. That is what a beta is for.

Your data lives on your phone. There is no account and nothing on our servers. Android has no iCloud, so nothing syncs to an iPhone, and your iPhone history does not transfer across yet.

No watch app yet. Wear OS is on the list, but it is not in this build.

You need a phone running Android 8.0 or later. Free, with nothing locked, same as iOS.

Every report helps. Email [email protected] with what you were doing and what happened, or post in r/liftlogic where other testers can chime in. Screenshots are gold.

Beta questions

Yes. LiftLogic is free on every platform, with no subscription, no paywall and no in-app purchases. The beta is an early build of the same free app.

The listing only opens for testers. Join the group and opt in first, using the Google account that is signed in on your phone, then try the Play link again. It can take a few minutes after opting in.

Yes. Google Play checks that the account on your phone is in the tester group and has opted in. One account for the group, the opt-in page and the Play Store keeps all three in agreement.

Any phone on Android 8.0 or later. Health Connect is optional: without it the app still tracks everything you log, you just will not see the sleep, heart rate and step data it can read.

Not yet. The Android app keeps its data on the device and there is no sync between the two platforms right now.

Open the same Play testing page and choose Leave the program, then uninstall the app. Nothing is stored on our servers, so uninstalling removes the app's data from your phone.
